Beschütz‘ mich weiter als du schreiben kannst

»Beschütz‘ mich weiter als du schreiben kannst« ist ein Briefwechsel der Künstler:innen Anna Gohmert und Cy Linke über Schutzräume, Körper und Bedrohung. Gohmert schreibt aus cis-weiblicher Perspektive einer Care-Takerin, Linke aus queerer nichtbinärer trans*-Perspektive. Der Briefwechsel entsteht im Frühjahr 2025 und verhandelt politische Entwicklungen dieser Zeit, Überlebenserfahrungen der beiden sowie Schutzräume und Bedrohung der Literatur: Kann Literatur Schutzraum sein? Wann wird Literatur zur Bedrohung und für wen? Ist Schreiben Luxus, weil es dafür temporäre Schutzräume braucht? Und wenn das so ist, wie verhalten wir uns zu den Diskrepanzen zwischen gelebten Erfahrungen und den Texten, die sich über Schutzräume, Körper und Bedrohung finden?

Protect me more than words

"Protect me beyond what you can write" is a correspondence between artists Anna Gohmert and Cy Linke, exploring issues of safe spaces, bodies and danger. Gohmert writes from the cis-female perspective, while Linke writes from a queer, non-binary, trans* perspective. This correspondence, set to take place in the spring of 2025, will address current political developments, the survival experiences of both writers and the notion of literature as both a safe space and a hazard. It will debate essential questions: Can literature be a safe space? When does literature become a threat, and to whom? Is writing a luxury because it requires temporary safe spaces? And if this is the case, how do we navigate the discrepancies between experiences lived through and the texts that emerge about safe spaces, bodies and danger?
